Philosophy In The Making aims to provide a platform to advocate for more Women in the STEM field, through educational resources, and first-hand experience. Guiding first Generation College Students and Underrepresented Minority groups throughout college.
Philosophy In The Making shares a page in your journey. Through collaboration with local colleges and universities, we strive to create a space for students to learn and access free content to master their coursework.​

Founder/CEO
Our Founder, Maria De La Torre, recently received her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cellular and Molecular Biology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, in May of 2022.
She graduated with Honors in the major and Magna Cumme Laude.
Throughout her undergraduate career, she volunteered and supported various organizations that advocated for more Women In The STEM field. She even created her own club and led as president for The Girls Who Code College Loops. She was also secretary and Vice President of the Center For Innovation in STEM Education (CSI3) Leadership club.
She volunteered in various hospitals and was part of the Cope Health Scholars Program. She researched with multiple mentors in neuroscience and breast cancer.
